Pittsburgh, PA natives and Boston based brother duo The Keymakers , comprised of singer-songwriter Rome Alexander and artist-instrumentalist Rederic, released their debut single “Good for You.” If you like pop synthesized with soul and a robust sound then The Keymakers have you covered!
“We’ve got so much music in our heads that we want to get out to the masses,” said Rederic. “We’ve honed a unique sound, and we’ll be experimenting with a bunch of different styles and genres that I think will surprise a lot of people”.
“Good for You” hearkens with lyrical depth and admittance. Relationships and love are one of the most written about musical themes thus leading to ageless songs like this one. Furthermore, in a generation that loves to pretend we don’t feel it’s nice to receive such honesty.
“We all mess up sometimes, and neglect the people we care about. No one’s perfect. But this song is about owning those mistakes, the constant effort to be better, and the person that makes that process worth it,” Rome states.
