Manchester’s own Sittin’ Pretty releases the official visual to their hit single “Then You Break” a haunting display from the crew accompanied by their dimly lit set and eerie vocals. The band feeds off their lead singer through robust rifts and complementary percussion. “Then You Break” lyrically expresses a narrative of tackling self identity, using music as a vice and feeling adrift yet at the same time embracing normalcy. The delivery of this track seamlessly exudes its’ purpose and intent; check it out below!
Conor Wilde from the band explains how ‘Then You Break’ was born: ‘we started messing around with the riff and melodies for this single, ‘Then You Break’. Lyrically for me the song is about struggling to understand all the shit I see every day and the feelings that come along with it, and the bulk of this song is about being confused and trapped which ironically is what makes everything seem normal for a twenty something year old these days. It has taken us months to get this track off the ground but we had some good advice from Ian Hunter, who invited us out with him last year and he told me that ; “You should always strive to write about something that means a lot to you”. So I did’
