My soul quivers and the writer in me reeks with envy as I listen to 070 Shake perform “I Laugh When I’m With Friends But Sad When I’m Alone.”

The North Bergen gem , artist, songwriter and undeniable creative gives a riveting performance on the COLORS Show. The lyrical depth in this song amid the defiant song structure makes it not only therapeutic but indeed a literal aural high. 

Shake’s willingness to be so open and candid in her music amidst her bipolar delivery and distinct tone places her lightyears ahead of any potential competition.  Her smokey and tenebrous vocals juxtaposed with her frank and maverick approach to making music leaves your being wide in awe.
