We’ve waited patiently and Lil Wayne finally releases Tha Carter 5 featuring Travis Scott, Ashanti, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Reginae Carter and more amid production from Swizz Beatz, Mannie Fresh, Boi-1da and Vinylz to name a few. In regards to the album Wayne states, “But with this album, I’m giving you more than me…I hope you enjoy it , you don’t have to love it, you don’t even have to like it, just hope you enjoy it.” Enjoy, is the perfect verb to describe the experience you will have with this project.

After waiting over half a decade for this album – he doesn’t disappoint. Tha Carter V laced with almost a quarter century worth of tracks leaves listeners feeling full – full off the abundance of this project, the lyricism, the complimentary features, the reflection and openness he gifts us, the crazy production, the thought process – it’s all genius. There’s no better time than now for Wayne to drop a project like this one. There is a wealth of knowledge that can be gained from this body of work as an artist, as a human, as a son, as a creative and as a businessman. It’s a stellar project from one of the greatest rappers of all time.
