IKONIC VISUAL: Shenna Covets Authentic Conversation in New Pensive Visual

In a generation desensitized by technology and comforted with virtual realities some of us have lost that personal connection and knack for real communication that Shenna craves in her new single “Conversation.”

The singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, co-producer and model gifts us a sultry execution for an imperative tune. “I feel that people are so distracted by the media and technology that  we are not having real face-to-face conversations anymore because of the  many distractions around us,” Shenna tells Billboard. The classic Anthony King directed visual shows a dazzling Sheena with a faceless stranger. Her fire isn’t only in her hair but her lyricism and cinematic woes. The visual distortion is done on purpose, “The guy’s point of view in this story has static and is blurred out  because he’s actually a TV which is the symbol of someone distracted by  technology,” Shenna says.

With technology at our fingertips and virtual confidence in our subconscious real people are sifting into robots. However, artists like Shenna remain human, mortal and vintage. Check out her latest release below and if the voice sounds familiar surely you’ve heard it on The Bad Girls Club (“You Can’t Sit With Us,” “Made Of Gold,” “So Love”), MTV’s Teen Mom OG (“Control“), MTV’s Finding Carter (“Take Your Time“), and Netflix’s film Miss Stevens (“Made Of Gold”).

Shenna reflects, “I  wanted this video to have an old school vibe with a present day meaning  behind it. I feel that people are so distracted by the media and  technology that we are not having real face-to-face conversations  anymore because of the many distractions around us. The guy’s point of  view in this story has static and is blurred out because he’s actually a  TV which is the symbol of someone distracted by technology. ”
