Will You Fly with Nao’s New Single “If You Ever” feat. 6LACK

There’s something magnetic about a voice like Nao’s. The singer, songwriter releases a new single “If You Ever” off her forthcoming album Saturn set to release October 26th. The Mura Masa co-produced and co-written single soars to euphoric heights once you combine Nao’s fairy-like vocals with 6LACK’s calm, deliberative, attention-causing tone. A stunning record of love, adulation, overcoming fear and realizations with poetic lyrical infusions from 6LACK’s with lines like,”Where I’m from if I take you to the block you the one / Revolve around you I ain’t plan it but the sun gone shine thats no matter if you see it or not.”

It’s a daydream in sonic form!

“If You Ever” follows formerly-released Saturn tracks “Curiosity,” “Make It Out Alive” and “Another Lifetime.”

In a statement, Nao explained that Saturn was inspired by the concept of “Saturn return,” which she kept hearing about from her friends. “It’s this idea that Saturn takes 29 years to orbit from when you’re born and it is the planet of blessings and growth,” Nao said. “So by the time you’re around 29, between 27 and 32, something big happens in your life. It’s like waking up and coming of age, like: ‘I’ve been going through my twenties and what have I been doing in this relationship? What have I been doing in this job?’ You start to rethink everything – old stuff that your parents taught you or ideas that you believed in. It’s like a complete shedding of skin and it can be painful.” Take a listen below.
