There’s something mesmerizing and intoxicating about ANE’s vocals and lyrical concepts that divorces her music from the rabble of modern alleged musicians. It’s been well over a year since the release of ANE‘s Bitan EP. The Korean-American singer/songwriter breaks her silence with her brand new single “Physical.” Subsisting in such a digital age some of us have literally lost touch with the physical world, physical love, physical relationships and ANE tells a tale of the few that have not lost that embrace.
“The combination of living in New York and being immersed in today’s culture of swiping right and left on dating apps and scrolling through social media feeds, it is so difficult to make a real connection with someone. People like having options today, more than ever, and it makes it really difficult to dig deep with someone. This song is about the rare instance that it does in today’s ADD society. And I wanted to share that feeling in a song.” – ANE (A New Era)
“Physical” sends listeners into an eye’s-closed, head-bobbing, “I felt that,” sort of frenzy amid her gaudy display of vocal range and song structure. Take a listen to her latest release below and stay tuned for the eventual full length project.
