Lo Lo’s “Sweater Collection” From Ex-Boyfriends Proves to Be Great Content for Her New Pop Anthem

The best music brims with metaphors and personal narratives that speak to the masses amid providing therapeutic tendencies for the creator.

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Lo Lo last featured for her daring and candid single “Convenient” returns with a pop, reflective tune entitled “Sweater Collection,” a record doused in stuck-on-repeat likelihoods. Lo Lo’s deliberate, captivating vocals and climaxing production gifts this record international appeal. Lyrically she sifts through the sweaters, hoodies and other garments from her exes all drizzled in memories.

Lo Lo reflects on the records concept and backstory, “While cleaning out my closet one day, I realized I had a lot of sweaters that weren’t exactly mine. They all originally belonged to guys that I had dated, given to me as some sort of twisted keepsake. I’m not sure who started this ritual, or why it’s such a thing, but it just is. A guy likes you, he lets you take home one of his sweaters. You can then choose to wear it, or hang it on your door as you see fit. Whether these connections lasted a long time or a short time, every sweater told a story about how it somehow didn’t work out in the end.

Rather it’s the classic mens button up shirt or oversized white tee’s, women love wearing the clothes of their significant others that tend to get left behind and eventually not returned when the relationship ends. Keepsakes mollify Lo Lo and a plethora of others. Dive into her latest release below.
