Riding high off the release of her debut album Over It which debuted at No 2. on the Billboard 200, Summer Walker takes to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert for this flawless delivery of some fan favorites, “ “Session 32,” “Wasted,” “Girls Need Love,” “Riot” and “Playing Games.”
She’s an eccentric beauty of an artist and an open spirit. To play her guitar for the opening tune “Session 32,” she clipped her nails right before the concerts recording and thereafter replaced her guitar with a bright pink stuff animal. The 23-year-old ikon gifts us a rivetingly raw and effortless live performance – she sounds just like her records – impeccable.
After her performance she told NPR, “Look, I’m really freaking excited to be here but I have social anxiety like a mother******… I’m freaked the hell out, I’m sweating, but this is so exciting for me.”
