Chika, the Alabama native artist and 60-second-rap-killer, releases her highly anticipated new track “Can’t Explain It” featuring the legendary Charlie Wilson. Last featured for her debut single “No Squares,” she returns with this ikonic collaboration and it’s one for the books. Chika combines potent verses with Tamia’s classic “So Into You” hook as she croons alongside the ever-so-gifted Mr. Wilson. Two decades later Tamia’s fabled hit still resonates and these two do it justice. The talented emcee imbues her verses in blatant adoration and real love overtones while Charlie ad-libs and harmonizes like only he could.
Chika raps, “I got a fetish for taking her problems away / So whenever I’m leaving she want me to stay / I been looking for gumption and tryna be brave / But when I’m around you I just cannot behave / The world is so full of production, I think she alone accapella…” A wordsmith, no doubt, and a needed addition to the music industry.
The visual revels in Chika’s on camera personality and conveys the record’s lyrical imagery as a dapper Charlie Wilson accompanies the scene.
