Winona Oak Releases Pensive Debut EP ‘Closure’

Sweden native singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Winona Oak drops off a stunning debut with Closure laced in six emotively scripted tracks amid breathtaking production and a flawless execution from the young songstress.

No novice to the music arts having learned to play her first instrument at five-years-old amidst falling in love with songwriting and poetry as well, it shines through in this premier, each record carefully penned and candidly so.

Slow deliberate tunes like “He Don’t Love Me” and classic, shimmering anthems like “Control”,” gift this project pleasant diversity.

Of the official “Control” visual Winona states,“Control” is about meeting someone that makes you weak in your knees and never knowing how they actually feel about you. You make risky decisions, act irrationally and tolerate things you normally wouldn’t. You’re feeling nervous, insecure and are constantly afraid that they are gonna leave you. Oh and this is when you learn – the difference between love and obsession. For the video we wanted to target this hopeless feeling with a twisted sense of humor.

Winona’s well-trained vocals and emotionally linked executions are what make this body of work all the more special, all the more memorable.
