Access Code Denied

For those who would rather listen than read, I’ve got you covered. Listen to my latest article by clicking above!

Everyone should not have access to you.

If you value your peace, yourself and your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, it is imperative that you make access to you restricted and invite only. Don’t let people waltz in and out of your space at their convenience as if you’re a 7-Eleven. Please acknowledge that there are people in your life that you’re going to outgrow, people that are no longer aligned with your values, people that don’t bring you joy, people that bring you more drama than peace etc. and that’s okay – deny them access.

The above tweet reads, “Somewhere, someone is still discussing the old you because they don’t have access to the new you.”

Y’all guessed it. One more time for those in the back.

“Somewhere, someone is still discussing the old you because they don’t have access to the new you.”

Let them talk. Let them speculate. Let them spread ridiculous rumors. You are on a new level of you now, therefore, you don’t have time to stoop down to address those who haven’t even earned the right to be in the presence of the new you. New “you” doesn’t mean, bourgeois “you.” This new you is just more aware. Now you peep everything, now you’re taking notes, now you’re not letting s*** slide. Trust yourself, that little voice in the back of your head telling you to cut people off is one of God’s angels whispering to you – listen! People give you signs, trust those signs and when they show you who they really are – believe them.

I’ve denied people access to me, rather I had to block their phone number or unfollow them on social media or delete our old photos etc. because the only person I have to live through life with is me. I need to be happy, engaged, focused and resilient and I need people in my life who are aligned with that. Everyone else is background noise and unfortunately they’re not on my list. They can’t come into my VIP section! They can’t sit with me! Who doesn’t deserve to sit with you?

Make a list, check it twice and deny them access to you.

Thank me later, good day.
