Arguably, if you wanted to argue, J. Cole without question has lyrically deemed himself as one of the greatest rappers of our generation. 

Today he releases his latest album, The Off-Season, laced in 12 tracks amid production from the likes of Timbaland, T-Minus and Jake One. Records like “i n t e r l u d e” and “The Climb Back” set the tone for what to expect from this album – continued lyrical mastery, sure-fire production and more classic additions to hip-hop’s archives.

Per usual, he hasn’t disappointed us. This is his first full-length release since 2018’s KOD and the wait was well worth it. Simply put – J. Cole does not miss. For Cole, rapping is a sport and he’s undoubtedly this generation’s MVP. From the basketball court to the studio, he shines, he puts the work in and he evolves.
