It’s a new year and it’s time to break away from some old habits.
Sometimes you’re holding onto the very thing, person, situation etc. that you need to let go of. The strength is in letting go not always holding on. It’s an old classic, but write down a list of the pro’s and con’s of a situation. If the con’s outweigh the pro’s – leave, abort-mission, quit, flee!
When you’re holding onto something or someone that is taking from you instead of adding to you, you end up drained, fed up, fatigued, irritable, angry etc. and you deserve better. Be your own better until better comes along, but settling for mediocre (or worse) ,in the interim, will not bring you peace.
We believe that we’re flexing our muscles when we hold onto that dead-end job because it pays the bills, when we stay in that marriage because that person is all we know, when we stand by that family member even when they’re wrong etc. In truth, we are simply flexing our vulnerability and our inability to stand up for ourselves. Fight for you – hard! Don’t let people walk all over you because trust me, a person knows when you won’t leave them no matter what they do and they use that to their advantage.
In 2022, you should only strive to be used by God, that’s my opinion – of course but, I’m going to repeat it one more time for those in the back.
In 2022, you should only strive to be used by God.
Stop holding onto lifeless situations – you hear me? Let go! The freedom you will feel after you break those chains is comparable to none other.
You got this!
