Pain can be heavy, too heavy.

How many of you are carrying around the pain from yesterday, from last month, from last year, from five years ago, from 10 years ago? You need to let that pain go because carrying it into your relationships, carrying it into your conversations, carrying it into your day to day etc. will only weigh you down. It’s harder to fly with extra, needless cargo.

It’s a choice to lug around the pain from yesteryear and the longer you hold onto it, the heavier it gets. You deserve a light life, a bagless life, a no carry-on life – are you catching my drift?

One more time for those in the back.

You deserve a light life, a bagless life, a no carry-on life.

There’s a dense, murky feeling in the pit of your chest when you tote around pain like its joy. Ask your God or the Universe or whomever or whatever you believe in to take the pain away not only because it hurts but because its blocking your happiness, it’s silencing your laughter, and two-stepping over your perception of your life as it is now.

You see hardships, anguish and impossibilities where you should see jubilation, recovery and limitless prospects.

Your back must ache, your heart is undoubtedly heavy and you can change that but now you’re comfortable with the pain, its a part of you. You must divorce yourself from any and all things that don’t serve you – not over night but over time. That same time that you’ve taken to get comfortable with your scars is the same time that you can take to remove them.

When you think about holding onto that pain because you feel like you need it, you feel like its built character and that it’s an asset not a blemish, remember these three things:

  1. You are blocking your blessings by holding onto what you cannot control and what has already passed.
  2. You can’t fly with broken wings.
  3. You are so much stronger than you know – believe that.

You got this!
