Fear can be the difference between living and existing. Existing is accepting the monotony of life and striving for nothing greater than simply being, being in your job, in your home, in your family, in your activities etc. Living is a robust feeling, a limitless action, one that involves risks, adventures and, in truth, just whatever makes you truly happy.
If you’re happy going to work, having the weekends off, taking care of your kids, having a healthy relationship with your spouse and family and taking the occasional vacation – then so be it, that’s great! If happiness looks like more traveling, more money, more experiences, more freedom etc., are you actively trying to achieve your ideal happiness?
Your happiness doesn’t have to look like what I listed above but if it does, are you trying hard enough to get to that state of euphoria? Adopting a #JustDoIt mentality can help you get closer to your ideal happiness. For example, if your current location isn’t serving you – move – #JustDoIt. If that relationship is draining you – leave – #JustDoIt. If you want to start a business – hurry up – #JustDoIt. If you hate your job that bad – quit – #JustDoIt. (That last one is optional, don’t end up homeless chasing happiness, but you get the point.)
What in life do you need to attach the #JustDoIt mantra to? Is it your fitness habits? Your financial habits? Your travel goals? Your relationship goals? Your business goals?
What’s the worst thing that could happen if you just went after everything you ever dreamed of?
Failure? Discomfort? Success? Joy? Pain? Growth? All of those things are inevitable anyways so #JustDoIt! Stop making excuses. Stop worrying about the outcome and just live. You don’t want to look back on life and say, “I wish I had did this, that and the third.” Whatever you desire, do it now and work towards it now because it’s not like we know the exact date that we’re going to expire so get busy, get active!
You got this!
