The Power of the Tongue

You can achieve anything you desire, if you believe it to be so.

But, you can’t breed positivity and good fortune from a negative tongue. If you constantly tell yourself what you can’t do, what you can’t accomplish – then so it will be. I believed that manifestations and daily affirmations were complete poppycock dished out by life enthusiasts and hippies but au contraire. My life didn’t turnaround until my mouth did.

One more time for those in the back.

My life didn’t turnaround until my mouth did.

Most of you are expecting blessings from a tongue that spouts cynical thoughts and skepticism – it’s simply not possible. You don’t believe that better is within reach thus you will continue to subsist in a realm of lack, of less than, of self-induced misery and then you’ll blame it on the world or your upbringing or your trauma etc. You are right where you’re supposed to be but if you want more, if you want a life of abundance you can’t have a mouth of pessimism. You also can’t surround yourself by those who do.

All of your negative-Nancy friends and family member can’t take up space in a life that you are restructuring for greatness – they won’t fit. Don’t give them a seat at your table. We always assume that it’s easy for happy people to be more happy and that it’s easy for miserable people to become more miserable. There’s no difference between these two subsets of people. They both are just choosing to be one thing or the other. One is choosing happiness while the other is choosing misery but they are both making choices.

The best book to read to help you shift your mentality and turn your life around is Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. You can purchase it here; thank me later!

Be kind to yourself. Here are some daily affirmations:

  • I am infinite.
  • I am abundant and successful.
  • I can achieve all things.
  • I am happy and powerful beyond measure.
  • I am loved, valued and cherished.
  • I am unstoppable.

Say these daily, believe it or fake it until you do. You got this!
