Unplug.

Stop looking for outlets in people that don’t want you to plug into them.

One more time for those in the back.

Stop looking for outlets in people that don’t want you to plug into them.

Does that make any sense? If not, allow me to rephrase. Stop looking for a power source from those who prefer you depleted. Stop looking for a plug, when you could be your own connect. Stop preferring dependence over self-sufficiency. Stop raising your expectations for people that never met them in the first place.

You are lit, literally. You are the fuse, you are the matchbook, you are the pressure – apply it. You are the rain, which means that you give way for new life so stop letting people drain your abundance. We are humans, not iPhones. We can’t just recharge when we hit zero but sometimes zero is necessary – it makes you appreciate 100% more.

You can’t give out what you haven’t already gifted to yourself and you can’t expect from others what they haven’t yet given to themselves. Don’t expect someone that’s on empty emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially to fill you up. Would you go to Chick-fil-A on a Sunday and expect service? No, so stop showing up to vacant lots.

One more time for those in the back.

Stop showing up to vacant lots.

Nobody’s home baby, I’m sorry but keep showing up for you because you owe it to yourself to be present. Some people want to pour into you and others want a huge sip of what you have to offer but they are not willing to replenish what their asking for – stop allowing that.

You are the plug, the outlet, the homeowner and the primary source – act like it.
You got this.
